TAKE FLIGHT

Take Flight is a comprehensive dyslexia intervention curriculum developed by the Center for Dyslexia at Scottish Rite for Children. It includes the five key components of effective reading instruction identified by the National Reading Panel: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Reading Comprehension.

Designed for children seven and older, Take Flight is taught four or five days a week, one-on-one or in small groups. The program meets state standards, and research shows that students who complete it show significant growth in reading skills and maintain these benefits over time. It is particularly effective for students with the lowest reading skills.
